1 Samuel 26:21 (NKJV) - Then Saul said, “I have sinned. Return, my son David. For I will harm you no more, because my life was precious in your eyes this day. Indeed I have played the fool and erred exceedingly.”
2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith
On the two verses above, we see two men Saul of the Old Testament and Paul (also previously called Saul before he was saved) of the New Testament.
These two men make two different statements which are so important for us children. The Saul of Old Testament at the time when he approached his death, he acknowledged that "HE PLAYED THE FOOL & ERRED EXCEEDINGLY" while the other Saul (Paul) towards his death also makes a totally different statement and says "I FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I KEPT THE FAITH".
Today, I pose a simply question before you "What kind of statement are you going to make towards the end of your life?
Are you keeping the faith, or are you playing the fool and erring exceedingly against God?
Will you die fulfilled or will you die regretting?
What death are you gonna die?
Jesus asked a question one day, saying "Nevertheless when the son of God comes again, will he find faith on earth?"
Friends, let us rise up to faith. Be like the Saul of the new testament.
God bless!
dan shall u examine again for the saul's verses, it's not the time when saul will heading his death but the time when he was regret for his plan and act for killing david... he deeply thanks for david which not kill him when there's a chance...
